Employed by the Iowa Dept. of Public Health (IDPH) since 1983, Matt Hobson has experience investigating almost every reportable disease that has been found in Iowa.
Matt received his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from the University of Northern Iowa (UNI) in 1976 and earned his Master of Arts Degree in Community Health from UNI in 1993. A lifelong resident of Iowa, Matt has taught three university classes as an adjunct professor, instructed IDPH counseling and disease investigation courses, and served as President of the Iowa Public Health Association. Matt is currently also serving on the Black Hawk County Board of Health.
